What’s the story behind Sonder?
Our husbands were both stationed in Yuma, AZ when we first started working together. We joined up for our brides there and the joined business venture quickly made us best friends. Our families became very close so when it was time for our time in Arizona to close, we all went to Utah together!
We chose the name Sonder because of the definition. (I won’t write it out here but you HAVE to Google the long version. It’s good!)
The short version is that it’s the realization that any random passerby has a life as vivid and complex as your own and that’s exactly what our job is!
When we walk into a wedding, we consider it our goal to realize that you have aunts, uncles, friends, coworkers, and a whole amazing life you’ve created with all of your people. It’s our job to capture that.
We don’t want just a snap a smile-at-the-camera photo of you with your dad but to capture you getting down on the dance floor to the same Beatles song you danced with him to when you were 5.
It’s capturing moments like that....That’s the goal for Sonder!
