Doing family sessions at the River in Yuma is one of my favorite things! When it warms up a bit, it’s a location that is great to beat the heat and take some family photos. Bonus points if your family is down to actually get into the water too because that is when we can make so magic! I love getting photos of the kids splashing each other and having fun in the water. It makes for a fun and laid back experience for the kids all while getting the best photos.

This session was no different. We had a blast taking photos by the water. Pro Tip: If you put your daughter in a dress, be sure to put some little shorts under her dress. This cutie did NOT want her dress to touch the water so she lifted it the whole time. haha!

When dressing for your session at the river in Yuma, be sure to incorporate some color! The river doesn’t have a ton of color (welcome to Yuma, AZ my friends) so incorporating that in your outfits can really make your photos POP more! (which we want!)
